The Imperial, is a downtown venue located in the Flatiron District where art takes center stage. The Imperial features a room with 30ft ceilings and “The Gallerie,†a low-key backroom, two areas with bottle service, two fully-stocked bars, polished wood dance floors, a full stage with stage lighting, plus three cinematic screens, one which projects over a waterfall. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade presented by Macy's Department store held in New York City on Thanksgiving Day. More than 3.5 million people joined the Smurfs, Snoopy, Dora the Explorer, Hello Kitty, Mr. Peanut, Ronald McDonald, Pokemon, Buzz Light Year, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Kermit, Shrek, the Energizer Bunny and others to celebrate the parade's 82nd annual run, while another 50 million households watched from home! This year's parade featured twenty-eight floats, 10 marching bands and hundreds of clowns, acrobats and cheerleaders. Producers of the holiday spectacular even had a little prank in store for viewers when at the end of the parade route, the rest of the procession turned north onto Seventh Avenue, while the Energizer Bunny kept going and going on its merry way westward on 34th Street. Prime is the reincarnation of what was once Retox Rock Bar, Myst, and Quo. The new space has an amazing elevated DJ booth in the center of the dance floor and decorated with damask wallpaper and black chain curtains that give the room a very sophisticated feel. You know the holidays are right around the corner when the department stores slap on some fresh lipstick to help them get ready for the busiest time of the year. NYC's Bloomingdales flagship store did just that with their 2008 Holiday Windows. They unveiled the windows with style and Tony Bennett, who but put on a concert on Lexington Avenue. The ten absolutely gorgeous windows are refreshingly free from any cloths and feature traditional holiday scenes that are perfect for getting you into the spirit! The amazing work was the product of NY based artist Vicki Khuzami and the other talented artists from the Khuzami Studio. Providence is a stunning space that was a landmark church, followed by a world-famous recording studio in which Hendrix, Sinatra, The Stones, Streisand and The Ramones created historic records. Some guests come to Providence on Fridays to soak in the after work lounge vibe while others get the party started a little later and groove at one of the few remaining venues in New York City where dinner and dancing are offered under one roof. It looks like a spaceship and it is the work of the famous architect Zaha Hadid. The Chanel Mobile art exhibit is about fashion and art. The structure and the installations inside are all inspired by an iconic quilted handbag by Chanel. The exhibit is put on by Chanel, and it is called mobile art because it is traveling to six cities. It's already been to Hong Kong and Tokyo, and City.com was there to catch its last day in New York's famed Central Park. Enjoy these amazing photos of this phenomenal structure.
